India moves closer to a clean sweep in the series.   (India ) 

T20: In the fourth match of the 5-match T20 series being played between the Indian     (India )   and Sri Lankan women’s teams, Team India continued its excellent performance, securing a 30-run victory. After losing the toss, the Indian women’s team batted first, and thanks to brilliant batting from Shafali and Mandhana, Team India managed to score 221 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 20 overs. While the Sri Lankan women’s team showed a better batting performance compared to their previous matches, they could only manage 191 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs.

The Sri Lankan women’s team, which had shown a very poor batting performance in the first three matches of the series, showed a slightly better performance in this match. Captain Chamari Atapattu and Hasini Perera, who opened the batting for the Sri Lankan women’s team, shared a 59-run partnership for the first wicket. Arundhati Reddy broke this dangerous partnership by dismissing Hasini Perera for a personal score of 33. Following this, Imesha Dulani provided excellent support to Captain Atapattu, forming a 57-run partnership for the second wicket. The Indian women’s team, batting first for the first time in this series, put on a spectacular batting performance. Team India scored 221 runs for the loss of just 2 wickets in 20 overs, setting a new record for their highest score in T20 Internationals. In this match, Smriti Mandhana scored 80 runs, Shafali Verma scored 79 runs, and Richa Ghosh played a brilliant unbeaten innings of 40 runs.
