Mumbai: Mumbai Indians finally managed to register their first win in the Women’s Premier League i.e. WPL 2025. Mumbai defeated Gujarat (Gujarat ) by 5 wickets on the basis of brilliant bowling by Hayley Matthews and all-round performance by Nat Sciver Brunt. Gujarat thus suffered its second defeat in three matches. Hayley Matthews was adjudged Player of the Match for her brilliant bowling. Batting first, Gujarat’s team collapsed for 120 runs in 20 overs. In response, Mumbai Indians achieved the target of 121 runs in 16.1 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Nat Sciver Brunt (57) hit a brilliant half-century for Mumbai. Hayley Matthews took 3 wickets.
