Jhansi, The dead bodies (update:) of Asad, son of mafia Atiq Ahmed and shooter Ghulam, who were killed in STF encounter, were sent from Jhansi at around 1.30 pm. After completing all the formalities, both the bodies were handed over to their relatives and sent to Prayagraj with tight security.
About 29 hours after the encounter, Asad’s uncle along with two lawyers reached Jhansi to collect the dead body at around 6.15 pm on Friday evening. After this the paperwork started. The dead bodies of both were kept in Jhansi Medical College, waiting for the relatives of Asad and Ghulam to come to Jhansi and take delivery of the dead bodies.

Two advocates named Himanshu Pandey and Raj Sharma reached the mortuary at around 6.15 pm. An old man also reached with them, who was said to be Assad’s uncle. Advocate Himanshu Pandey told that the name of the uncle is Dr. Usman. After this, two relatives of Ghulam also reached Jhansi at around 9.30 pm. The names of both have been mentioned as Tanveer and Parvez Alam. In both the relations, the brother-in-law of the slave was told.
After completing the administrative formalities, both the bodies were handed over to their relatives at around 1.30 am. After this, with proper security arrangements, both the dead bodies were sent to Prayagraj along with their relatives.
Heavy police force led by CO City with dead bodies

On behalf of the District Police Administration, under the leadership of CO City Rajesh Rai, under the protection of heavy police force, both the dead bodies were sent along with their relatives. Along with CO City, both the dead bodies were sent from Jhansi to Prayagraj under the security arrangements of a total of 24 people including one Inspector, three sub-inspectors and 16 constables.
