Ranchi. These days the entry of women is also being seen continuously in the black business of drugs. Drug dealers are making women their soft target and then doing drugs business with their help. In fact, drugs suppliers are more active these days in Ranchi. The use of women by these drug dealers is becoming a big challenge for the police.
In recent times, the nexus of women in the drug business has been seen in Ranchi. Some women have also been arrested in this case. Jyoti Bhardwaj alias Jyoti Sharma is also included in these women. She is a resident of Sukhdev Nagar area, before she was a model. Jyoti used to do modeling while living in Delhi. During this time he got acquainted with many people. There he also had to go to clubs and discos. However, during the Corona period, she reached Ranchi and during the lockdown, she entered the world of drugs. She started doing brown sugar business with some boys, after which the police arrested her and sent her to jail. But, after getting out of jail, Jyoti again indulged in this business and also involved her mother Moni Devi in this illegal business.
Rizwana took over husband’s illegal business
Similarly, taking action by Sukhdev Nagar police station, a woman named Rizwana Taj was arrested for supplying brown sugar. Rizwana is a resident of Palamu. Rasal Rizwana’s husband used to do this work earlier. But, when he got arrested and went to jail in the NDPS case, then Rizwana took over the reins of this illegal business.
Used to supply intoxicants with scooty
At the same time, the Lower Bazar police station had also arrested a female drug supplier named Sen, who used to roam around on scooty and sell intoxicants near the school-college. She also used to consume drugs earlier and gradually these drugs became their pawn after being trapped in the clutches of the mafia. It is said that the police do not suspect women quickly. At the same time, there are many SOPs legally, due to which the police have to take some vigilance in action against women. Taking advantage of this, drug dealers carry out illegal business with women. Drug dealers lure women with huge sums of money and use them to supply drugs to the entire city.
‘Whether male or female, action must be taken’
However, Ranchi SSP Kishor Kaushal says that the police is serious about NDPS cases. Guidelines have also been issued regarding this. By the way, the police keep a close watch on all the suspicious places where such illegal business takes place. Action is also taken after information. They say that whether the accused is a woman or a man, it does not matter. If information is received, then the police definitely take action.
youth are soft targets
On this matter, Ranchi City SP Anshuman Kumar says that the target of drug mafia is youth, who have money, they are first targeted. He told that youth first take drugs as an amateur to show their status, but gradually they fall prey to it and then they become handlers by getting used to it. Pub culture is also increasing in Ranchi. In such a situation, the black business of drugs is also spreading. Police takes its action but it is necessary that parents and society also come forward and make youth aware against drugs.
