Bad record made under Surya’s captaincyr (Surya’) 

England v India: England defeated the Indian team by 26 runs in the third T20 match. In this match, the batsmen of the Indian team flopped badly. Only Hardik Pandya could stay at the crease for some time. The rest of the batsmen were seen struggling to score runs. In the match, Indian team captain Suryakumar (Surya’)  Yadav won the toss and decided to bowl first. England had given India a target of 172 runs to win, in response to which the Indian team was reduced to just 145 runs.

Bad record made under Surya’s captaincy

Indian team had earlier lost only one T20I match on the Rajkot ground. That too against New Zealand in the year 2017. Then the captain of the Indian team was Virat Kohli. Now Suryakumar Yadav is in command of Team India. Team India has lost a T20I match after 8 years on the Rajkot ground. Under Surya’s captaincy, India has had to see these bad days in Rajkot.

Indian batsmen flopped

Chasing the target, Sanju Sasman once again failed to play a big innings for the Indian team and was out after scoring just three runs. Abhishek Sharma also could not stay at the crease for long and he contributed 24 runs. Tilak Verma, who was the hero of the last match, could score only 18 runs. Captain Suryakumar Yadav disappointed once again and he could score only 14 runs. Surya is going through a bad form and it has become difficult to get runs from his bat. Hardik Pandya tried to stay on the wicket for some time, but he scored 40 runs in just 35 balls. Indian batsmen were seen struggling to score runs throughout the match.

Ben Duckett hit a half-century

England did not have a good start. When Hardik Pandya took the wicket of opener Phil Salt. After this, Ben Duckett and Jos Buttler tried to handle the innings. Duckett hit a strong half-century and played an innings of 51 runs. Apart from him, Butler contributed 24 runs. Liam Livingstone played a stormy innings by scoring 43 runs in 24 balls. He also hit five sixes in the innings. It was because of these players that the England team was able to reach a respectable score. England scored 171 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs.

Varun Chakraborty took five wickets
Varun Chakraborty bowled brilliantly for India. He took 5 wickets for 24 runs in four overs. Apart from him, Hardik Pandya took two wickets. Ravi Bishnoi and Axar Patel took 1-1 wickets.
