Amateur golfer Avani Prashant won the second title of the season in WPGT

Panchkula. Amateur golfer Avani Prashanth clinched the second title of the season after playing an even-par 72 card in the third round of the 11th leg of Hero WPGT on Friday. Avani, who played a card of 76 in the first round, improved 10 shots in the second round and then took a one-shot lead in the third round on Friday with a card of 72. With this, he won this match being played in Panchkula.

Amandeep Dral, who was one shot behind her after the second round, also played the card of 72 and finished second with an overall score of one-under 215. Three players Pranavi Urs (76), Jhanvi Bakshi (73) and Vaani Kapoor (73) finished joint third with a score of 4 overs 219. Avni scored a total of 2 under 214, while Amandeep scored 1 under 215. Sania Sharma, Kriti Chauhan and Hitashi Bakshi ranked 8th to 10th.

Avni is playing both WPGT Circuit and Amateur Tour. She won the third leg in Mumbai and was runner-up in the eighth leg at DLF Golf & Country Club in Gurugram. Sahar Atwal (75) finished sixth with a score of 221 and Riya Jha (73) finished seventh. Amandeep is first in ‘Hero Order of Merit’ while Vaani Kapoor is running second.
