Srinagar. This time Amarnath Yatra will start from July 1, (July 1,) for which registration will start from April 17 through offline and online mode. This information was given by LG Manoj Sinha of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the government is making all kinds of arrangements for the pilgrims. This time the yatra will last for 62 days. Manoj Sinha said that preparations will be completed to make the journey simple and easy, as well as to ensure that the pilgrims do not face any problem. All the incoming passengers will get better health and other services. This time better telecom services will be made available.
Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board manages the Amarnath pilgrimage. This time the yatra will end on 31st August. The holy cave of Amarnath is situated at an altitude of 3,880 metres. The journey will start simultaneously from Pahalgam track and Baltal in Ganderbal district. The Shrine Board will telecast live the Aarti to be held in the morning and evening. Union Home Minister Amit Shah had reviewed the security regarding Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday itself. Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbag Singh and other senior officers were present in this meeting. The yatra has been announced a day after this meeting.
Review of various aspects of Amarnathji Yatra-2023
During the 44th meeting of SASB, members and officials reviewed various aspects of Shri Amarnathji Yatra-2023, including registration, provision of helicopter services, service providers, camps, langar and insurance cover for the yatris. Here, Anantnag’s DC Dr. Basharat Qayoom took a review meeting regarding the preparations for Shri Amarnath Yatra. During this, CEO Pahalgam told about the action plan of PDA. The BRO representative said that more than 200 labourers, besides machinery, are on the job to clear the route leading to Amarnath. Apart from this, the work of removing snow is going on on the way to the holy cave.
