Business dispute or terrorist conspiracy behind the blasts(blasts)?

Amritsar. There has been a blast (blasts) again on Monday at the Heritage Street of the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab. This is the second consecutive incident of explosion near the Golden Temple. Earlier on Saturday too, there was a blast near Saragarhi parking. Some people were also injured in this blast. After two blasts near the Golden Temple in 30 hours, an atmosphere of fear is visible among the people. The police has intensified the investigation of this matter. There is also a possibility of a money transaction dispute behind the incident, while the police is also probing it from the terrorist angle.

After the second consecutive blast near the Golden Temple, a top intelligence source told that ‘the twin blasts within 30 hours near the Golden Temple in Punjab could be the result of a business dispute. But we are not ruling out the terrorist angle.

One person was injured in a low-intensity explosion on Monday morning at a heritage street near the Golden Temple, which was close to the spot where the explosion was reported on May 6 (Saturday). One person was injured in the explosion on 6 May and the glasses of some buildings were damaged.

no detonator found
According to sources, data has been collected about the two blasts within 30 hours from the area and the agencies are getting detailed information. Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said, “No detonator has been found and it appears that the explosives were kept in a container.” He said that it is too early to say whether the blast was someone’s ‘prank’ or there is a terrorist angle in it.

Forensic teams are investigating on the spot
Soon after the blast, police and forensic teams reached the spot and security was beefed up in the area. He said, ‘The explosive was made and assembled in a very crude manner. Although no shrapnel was used, there was a loud noise. The official said that scientific investigation of the two blasts in the area is being done. He said, ‘Our forensic team is present on the spot.

Flag march in Amritsar
Security forces have conducted a flag march in Amritsar following reports of an explosion near the Golden Temple in Amritsar. Amritsar ADCP Mehtab Singh has said that ‘this is being done to restore public confidence’.

‘Maintain peace and harmony’
The DGP said that CCTV footage is being scanned and details are being sought from eyewitnesses. He said, ‘I want to assure people that everything is normal and we will maintain peace and harmony. People should not believe in rumours. The Punjab Police is there to keep the state safe.
