New Delhi. Due to bad weather in Kedarnath and Badrinath, the Srinagar Police has stopped the Chardham Yatra as a precautionary measure. Srinagar SHO Ravi Saini told that concrete arrangements have been made for the passengers to stay in Srinagar. Passengers will not have any kind of problem. Passengers are being appealed to continue their journey when the weather ( weather) clears. At the same time, in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, the debris of the mountain came on the road. Giving information, the Chamoli police said that the Badrinath highway has been closed due to debris coming from the hill in Bajpur of Kotwali Chamoli area. The difficulties of pilgrims going to Char Dham from other states of the country including Delhi-NCR, UP, Rajasthan have also increased.
Intermittent snowfall in Kedarnath
It is snowing intermittently for the last 12 days in Kedarnath Dham. The weather will be bad in Uttarakhand for four days from April 30. An alert has also been issued on bad weather. Due to bad weather in Uttarakhand, pilgrims are facing difficulties after rain and snowfall. Please tell that the doors of Kedarnath Dham were opened on 25 April. While the doors of Badrinath Dham were opened on 27 April. On April 22, the doors of Gangotri-Yamunotri Dham were opened for darshan.
Advisory issued for Char Dham Yatra in 9 languages
The Meteorological Department has appealed to the pilgrims coming from all the states of the country to start the journey only after getting the weather update of Uttarakhand. In view of the heavy snowfall in Kedarnath, the Rudraprayag district administration has appealed to the travelers to stay at safe places. Uttarakhand government has issued advisory in 9 Indian languages (Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi, Marathi and Odia) regarding Char Dham Yatra.
