PMO gave clear instructions to 7 institutions to deal with the Joshimath crisis

Joshimath. In view of the landslide in Joshimath, Uttarakhand, a high-level meeting was held in the Prime Minister’s Office on Sunday. In this meeting, the government gave clear guidelines to seven central institutions. The government said that first of all take the people living in the dangerous radius of 350 meters to safe places. Build a temporary home for them. The National Disaster Management Authority and the National Institute of Disaster Management will help the state government in formulating the strategy. Whereas, the Central Building Research Institute will prepare the design of people’s temporary homes.

The second priority is to find out from where the water is leaking in the city. The National Institute of Hydrology has been asked to find out the leak. This water is leaking from the ground. It is believed that this leaking water is related to the cracks lying in the houses and grounds. Roorkee IIT experts will examine the soil of Joshimath. They have already taken samples of the leaked water from many places.

Earthquake activity will also be monitored
The PMO said in its statement, all the seven institutions should work together with the Uttarakhand government. A plan should be made to be completed within the time limit. Earthquake-like movements should be constantly monitored. The Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology will monitor the earthquake activity. This institute will also do geo-physical studies. Apart from this, Geological Survey of India will also work in this direction in Joshimath.
Joshimath’s 600 houses in danger zone
