Kashi-Tamil Sangamam Express announced to run new train

The city of Varanasi is also a very important city of the Indian Railways network due to its mythological and spiritual significance and its connectivity with other remote provinces from the Northern Province of India by rail. Innumerable passengers travel here everyday by different trains from different parts of the country. The work of supplying essential goods and commodities to every part of the country by many goods trains is continuously operated from here. Keeping in view the importance of rail in this city, several projects and various works are in progress by Northern Railway, Lucknow Division in the direction of passenger facilities, safety, security, cleanliness, beautification and modernization of railways. Today, on 10.12.2022, Hon’ble Union Minister of Railways, Communications, Electronics and Information Technology, Mr. Ashwini Vaishnav arrived at Varanasi (Cantt.) station to be aware of all these development works. Under this program of his today, the Honorable Railway Minister, being aware of these progress works currently going on at Varanasi (Cant) Railway Station, reviewed them and talked about completing all the works with high quality on time.

During his inspection, he specially inspected the newly expanded area of the station building, the third 10 meter wide foot over bridge under construction at the station, the circulating area of the station, etc. . Issuing instructions, he said that keeping this work in mind for the next 50 years, the development of Varanasi Cantt station should be done according to world-class standards and also the facilities should be upgraded from the point of view of the devotees coming to the station.
The Honorable Railway Minister, who came from the headquarters of Northern Railway and got acquainted with the officers present in the division, interacted with them and inspired everyone to perform their best with open thoughts and multidimensional image. Apart from this, by establishing dialogue with the passengers, he got information about their expectations from the railway and after talking to the railwaymen, he became aware of their railway working and motivated them to provide their best railway services. On this occasion, while interacting with the media persons present at the station, he expressed his views and talked about operating a train between Tamil Nadu to Varanasi in the memory of Kashi-Tamil Sangamam.
