Raipur: In Chhattisgarh, the earth trembled in the early morning of today i.e. Friday. An earthquake occurred in Chhattisgarh’s Ambikapur at 5.28 am today. People were seen coming out of their homes as soon as the tremors were felt. The National Center for Seismology measured this earthquake at 4.8 on the Richter scale. The depth of the earthquake was 10 km below the ground.
At present, there is no news of any loss of life or property in this earthquake in Chhattisgarh. However, due to the shaking of the earth, people were definitely seen in horror. Due to the earthquake, the goods of the houses were seen shaking and after this people ran towards the road shouting earthquake. Let us inform that on 30 September last month, earthquake tremors were felt in some parts of Northeast including Manipur.
Do’s and don’ts in case of earthquake
1- If you are inside a building, then sit on the floor and go under some strong furniture. If there is no table or such furniture, then cover your face and head with your hands and sit by hiding in any corner of the room.
2- If you are outside the building, then move away from the building, trees, poles and wires.
3- If you are traveling in a vehicle, stop the vehicle as soon as possible and stay inside the vehicle.
4- If you are buried in a pile of rubble, then never light a match, neither move nor push anything.
5- In case of being buried under debris, lightly pat on a pipe or wall, so that rescuers can understand your position. If you have a whistle, play it.
6- Make noise only in case of no choice. Making noise can add suffocating dust and dust to your breath.
7- Always keep a disaster relief kit ready in your home.
