New Delhi: India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and his Pakistani counterpart Bilawal Bhutto Zardari may have a meeting at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization conference to be held in Tashkent. This information has been received from high sources of the Government of Pakistan. The Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit will be held in the last week of July.
Sources say that Pakistan is hoping that on the pretext of the YesCO conference, it will hold a meeting with the Indian Foreign Minister on the issue of Kashmir and it is preparing for it. This meeting between the foreign ministers of both the countries is likely to be held on July 27-28. Pakistan can also raise the Kashmir issue in the YesCO meeting.
This meeting will set up the meeting of the YesCO Heads of State Council to be held in Samarkand on September 15-16 this year. Where Prime Minister Modi has been invited along with President Putin of Russia, President of China, Prime Minister Sharif of Pakistan and Heads of States of Central Asia.
At present, India has not confirmed the meeting
No information has been received so far from New Delhi regarding the Jaishankar-Bhutto meeting. If this meeting is held then it could be another attempt to reduce the sourness of their relations between the two neighbors (India-Pakistan).
Speaking recently, Jaishankar admitted that there is a need to maintain ties with neighbours, but with a caveat. Responding to the question of a viewer, he said that the issue is not that talks are not taking place, the issue is under what circumstances the talks are taking place.
Terrorism important issue for India
For example, if you were invited for this meeting, then you came here happily wearing your best clothes. I could also go to your house and put a gun on your head and bring you here to talk. My problem is that if the neighbor says that I am going to do cross-border terrorism and then you have to come to talk, then I will have trouble talking. He blamed the United States for the problems with Pakistan. also held responsible.
The minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s determination that he will not allow cross-border terrorism to be taken as a normal thing has helped a lot in shaping India’s Pakistan policy since 2014. The Minister emphasized that the policies and initiatives of Prime Minister Modi have made a huge impact on the world stage.
