Kanpur. The SIT team has been camping in Gorakhpur for the last several days in connection with the murder of Kanpur’s property dealer Manish Gupta. From the scene of the incident to the hospital and from the hospital to the police station and every aspect related to it is being investigated closely. But Anand Prakash Tiwari, in-charge of the SIT team, has been camping with his team in Gorakhpur for the past several days
The Kanpur SIT, which is investigating the Manish murder case, has sealed the lift of Hotel Krishna Palace. Plastic has been pasted at many places in the hotel so that if needed other evidence can be collected for investigation. Questions are being raised on the role of hotel management from the very beginning. Meenakshi, wife of businessman Manish Gupta, had also accused the hotel management people of collusion and eradication of evidence. She had said that after the death of her husband, there was no blood anywhere in the hotel, while a blood-stained towel was found under the hotel room number 512 bed.
SIT in-charge Anand Prakash Tiwari is also investigating Meenakshi’s allegations. The SIT has also questioned the hotel owner and other employees. Hotel owner Subhash Chandra Shukla says that none of the hotel staff has met the accused policemen, neither did they inform any policeman nor have any blood stains been picked up from the hotel room. On the instructions of DIG Anand Prakash Tiwari, the lift of the hotel has been sealed and the use of lift has been banned till further orders.
