Bride will not get reservation in job

Jaipur: Rajasthan High Court has given an important decision regarding reservation. The High Court has said that after marriage in Rajasthan, women coming from other states will not get reservation in jobs. The court said that a woman who migrates to Rajasthan after getting married to a person from Rajasthan will not be given reservation in government jobs on the basis of SC, ST and OBC of another state.

The High Court said that after marrying a man from Rajasthan, the women of other states residing here will definitely get the benefit of this in facilities other than reservation in jobs on the basis of caste certificate.

Sunita Rani, who lives in Nohar, Hanumangarh, Rajasthan, had filed a petition related to reservation in the High Court. She had said in the petition that she hails from Punjab and is married to a person living in Nohar, Rajasthan.

He told in the petition that he had applied for SC caste certificate in Nohar tehsil. But his application was rejected by the Tehsildar. The basis behind this was told that she is not a native of Rajasthan.
Judge Dinesh Mehta gave the example of the Rajasthan High Court’s case of 2018 and 2020. In this case, the court had ruled that after marriage, a woman cannot be entitled to reservation in job in Rajasthan. Such women are entitled to caste certificate. So that they can get the benefits of other schemes of the state government apart from jobs on the basis of caste certificate.

Judge Mehta has ordered Hanumangarh SDM to issue caste certificate to this woman. It has also been said that it should be written on it that it will not be valid for government jobs.
