Trump threatens Iran (Trump )

Hormuz: US President Donald Trump   (Trump )  posted, “At this moment, the US is striking Iranian targets near the Strait of Hormuz. These strikes are massive and powerful. They are a response to Iran’s actions—specifically, their failed attempt to lay sea mines in the Strait (there are no mines there now; they have been completely removed or destroyed!) and the firing of eight missiles at our military base in Jordan, all of which were successfully shot down. If the failed state of Iran retaliates against this entirely justified strike, it will face an even more forceful attack—though this won’t be the biggest one of all; the biggest strike is yet to come, and when it happens, very little of the Islamic Republic of Iran will remain.”

Iran warns: We will exact severe punishment

A spokesperson for Iran’s Revolutionary Guard stated that the US would regret its new attacks. Following reports of explosions in several areas near Hormuz and to its east, Guard spokesperson Hossein Mohebi said in a post on X, “The attackers will face severe punishment;” “America will regret its new attacks.” According to reports by Iranian state television, several explosions were heard near the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz in the country’s south.

State television reported, “Several explosions were heard east of Bandar Abbas and around Qeshm Island.” It was also stated that there have been no reports of incidents or damage in the southern Hormozgan province so far. Even after six months of conflict, the two adversaries have not reached a resolution; Iran has kept the strategic Strait of Hormuz closed, while the US continues its counter-blockade of Iranian ports. The US carried out its first known attack on Iran in several weeks, targeting an Iranian island located in the Strait of Hormuz.
