Budgam: A 15-year-old boy sustained serious injuries in a road accident in the Charar-e-Shif area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday after an unregistered motorcycle met with an accident near Jammu and Kashmir Bank, Gulshanabad.
According to available information, the injured teenager has been identified as Farhan Iqbal Dar, who was riding the motorcycle at the time of the incident. Local residents rushed to his aid and immediately shifted him to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH), Charar-e-Sharif.
After providing initial treatment, doctors referred the teenager to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar, considering the seriousness of his condition. He is currently undergoing treatment.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. Preliminary reports indicate that the motorcycle involved in the crash was not registered. However, the exact cause of the accident will be determined after a detailed inquiry.
The incident has once again highlighted concerns over road safety and the need for strict enforcement of traffic regulations, particularly in cases involving underage riders.
