IPL: Fans are experiencing tremendous excitement regarding IPL ( IPL) 2026. Until now, it was unclear when the first match would be played. Now, the full picture has been revealed and confirmed. The BCCI has released the schedule for the first phase. It has also been announced which two teams will play the first match. This time, the first match of the IPL will be played on Saturday, but there will be only one match each on the first Saturday and Sunday; there will be no doubleheaders on these days.
The match between RCB and SRH will be played in Bengaluru on March 28.
The BCCI has released the schedule for the first phase of IPL 2026. The current schedule runs from March 28 to April 12. The schedule for the remaining matches will also be released soon. The first match will be between defending IPL champions RCB and SRH, or Sunrisers Hyderabad. This match is scheduled to be held in Bengaluru. The next day is Sunday, and Mumbai Indians are scheduled to play against KKR in Mumbai. This year’s first doubleheader will be played on April 4th, a Saturday. The first match of the day will feature Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians, starting at 3 p.m. Following this, Gujarat Titans will face Rajasthan Royals in the evening.
Two matches will be played on Sunday, April 12th.
The following day, Sunday, there are again two matches. The first match will be between Sunrisers Hyderabad and L&T, starting at 3 p.m. This will be followed by a match between RCB and CSK, starting at 7 p.m. The schedule is currently available until April 12th, with Mumbai Indians and RCB facing off in Mumbai. It is expected that the schedule for the second phase will also be announced by next week. It is believed that assembly elections are scheduled in five states; the BCCI will release the schedule again after the dates for these elections are announced.
