T20 World Cup: India and South Africa played a Super-8 match in the 2026 T20 World Cup. India lost by 76 runs in this match. This was Team India’s   (Team India )  first defeat in this World Cup. This also ended Team India’s winning streak of the last 12 matches in the T20 World Cup. In this match, South Africa won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, the African team scored 187 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. In response, the Indian team was all out for 111 runs in 18.5 overs. This is Team India’s biggest defeat in terms of runs in the T20 World Cup.

For India, Jasprit Bumrah took the most wickets, taking three wickets, while Arshdeep Singh took two.

India’s run chase was not a good start at all. Ishan Kishan returned to the pavilion without opening his account in this match. He faced 4 balls. Captain Suryakumar Yadav also played a slow inning in this match. He scored 18 runs in 22 balls. Sundar contributed 11 runs, while Hardik contributed 18 runs.
