All teams have been finalized for the Super 8. ( Super 8.) 

T20 World Cup: The group stage matches for the T20 World Cup 2026 have concluded, with the Super 8     ( Super 8.)  matches beginning on February 20th. The names of all eight teams that have qualified for the tournament have been finalized, with the most intense competition expected to be in Team India’s group. The teams that have reached the Super 8 have been divided into two separate groups of four each, with the ICC pre-determining which team will be placed in which group. The other three teams in the Indian team’s group have also not lost a single match in the group stage. Therefore, a fierce competition can be expected between the teams competing in this group. The four teams in the second group, including Pakistan, New Zealand, England, and Sri Lanka, all lost at least one match in the group stage.

Team India defeated Pakistan, USA, Namibia, and the Netherlands.
Regarding the Indian team’s performance in the group stage, they won their first match against the USA by 29 runs. Following this, Team India won the match against Namibia by a huge margin of 93 runs. In the match against Pakistan, the Indian team continued its winning streak, registering a resounding 61-run victory. In the final match of the group stage, Team India defeated the Netherlands by 17 runs, finishing at the top of the Group A table.

Zimbabwe defeated Oman, Australia, and Sri Lanka
Zimbabwe, a team in Group B, wasn’t taken seriously before the start of the T20 World Cup 2026. However, they proved everyone wrong, not only securing their place in the Super 8s but also finishing at the top of the Group B table. Zimbabwe defeated Oman by 8 wickets in their first group stage match, followed by a major upset by defeating Australia by 23 runs. Zimbabwe’s match against Ireland was washed out due to rain, while Zimbabwe managed to win their final group stage match against Sri Lanka by 6 wickets.

West Indies registered victories against England, Scotland, Italy, and Nepal
The West Indies, two-time T20 World Cup winners, weren’t in particularly good form before the start of the tournament. However, they have displayed excellent performance in the group stage, registering a one-sided victory. The West Indies first won the match against Scotland by 35 runs, then defeated England by 30 runs. In the third match, the West Indies defeated Nepal by 9 wickets, and then won the match against Italy by 42 runs, finishing at the top of Group C with 8 points.

South Africa registered victories against New Zealand, Canada, Afghanistan, and UAE.
South Africa, which lost to India in the 2024 T20 World Cup final, has maintained an unbeaten campaign in the group stage so far. In Group D, the African team first defeated Canada by 57 runs, followed by a victory against Afghanistan in a double super over in the second match. The African team played their third match against New Zealand, winning it by 7 wickets, and in the fourth match, they defeated the UAE by 6 wickets.
