T20 World Cup 2026: The ICC T20 World Cup 2026 began on February 7th, and a total of 21 matches have been played so far, but no team has officially secured a place in the Super 8. Team India remains on top of Group A, USA moves up to third.

Pakistan, who also won both their opening matches and have a total of four points, are second, but with a net run rate of 0.932, placing them below Team India. The USA, with a 93-run win against the Netherlands on February 13th, made a significant jump in the points table, moving up to third with two points from three matches, with a net run rate of 0.533. The Netherlands, also with two points from three matches, are now fourth in the group, while Namibia, who have played two matches and lost both, are last.

Zimbabwe’s win creates a thrilling situation in Group B
Zimbabwe created a stir in the Group B points table with a 23-run win against Australia on February 13th. Now, all teams have a chance to reach the Super 8. Currently, Sri Lanka leads Group B with four points from two matches and a net run rate of 3.125. Zimbabwe is second with four points from two matches and a net run rate of 1.984. Australia is third with two points from two matches and a net run rate of 1.100. Ireland and Oman are fourth and fifth, having played two matches each but yet to win.

West Indies top Group C, England moves up to fourth.
Concerning the Group C points table, West Indies have performed exceptionally well. They have won both of their two matches, amassing 4 points and a net run rate of 1.625. Scotland, with one win from two matches, is in second place, with a net run rate of 0.950. Italy, also in third place, has two points from two matches, with a net run rate of -0.352. England, with one win from two matches, is in fourth place, with a net run rate of -0.650. Nepal is in last place in the group, having played two matches and lost both.

New Zealand and South Africa are in a strong position in Group D.
New Zealand and South Africa, both part of Group D, appear to be in a strong position. Both teams have won their first two matches and collected four points. New Zealand’s net run rate is 1.919, while South Africa’s net run rate is 1.425. Following them is the UAE team, which has two points from two matches and its net run rate is -1.030. At fourth place is Afghanistan, which has played two matches and lost both. At fifth place is Canada, which has also played two matches and has not been able to win even one.
