Raipur: A high-scoring match was played between India and South Africa in Raipur. Batting first, Team India set a target of 359 runs for South Africa. In response, the African team achieved the target in 49.2 overs, registering a thrilling 4-wicket victory. The three-match series is now tied at 1-1. South Africa created history by achieving the target of 359 runs. This is South Africa’s highest run chase against India in ODI cricket and the third-highest successful run chase in their ODI history. Virat and Gaikwad’s ( Virat Gaikwad’s ) centuries failed to secure India’s victory in this match.

South Africa won the toss and elected to bowl first. Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal were dismissed cheaply for India, but Kohli and Ruturaj Singh put on a 195-run partnership for the third wicket to bring India back into the game. Ruturaj scored his first ODI century before being dismissed for 105. Kohli then scored his 53rd ODI century. Virat Kohli scored 102 runs in the match. KL Rahul and Jadeja then batted strongly in the final overs, taking India past 350. Rahul remained unbeaten on 66.
