Senuran Muthusamy: The South African team scored 489 runs in the first innings against India. After his 2019 debut series, he had to wait four years to play his third Test, and in the meantime, he worked hard in domestic cricket. His ancestors come from Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu, and although he himself has never been there, his mother and aunts have visited their ancestral town. Muthusamy said, “My roots are Indian, and they go back many generations. My roots are in Tamil Nadu, in South India. My mother and aunts have visited there to visit family, but I haven’t yet.”

Senuran Muthusamy has better understood the subcontinental conditions by 2025. He performed brilliantly in Pakistan, taking 11 wickets in the first Test and scoring an unbeaten 89 in the second. He then scored 109 against India when the team was 201 for five.
