Agra: In the Agra conversion ( conversion) case, a girl from Dehradun was rescued by the police and presented in the court on Friday. Where the victim’s statement has been recorded under 183 BNSS. The girl Reena (fictitious name) is 21 years old and hails from Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Reena is an adopted girl and is also the main witness in the conversion case.
The girl came in contact with Abbu Talib 6 years ago
The interrogation of the accused taken on remand and Reena revealed that Reena came in contact with Abbu Talib, a resident of Muzaffarnagar, through Facebook 6 years ago in 2019 and became friends. Abbu Talib added Reena to the Islamic group – “Revert to Islam” on Facebook and Instagram from where Reena came in direct contact with the main accused Abdul Rehman, resident of Delhi and his two sons Abdullah and Abdul Rahim, Dehradun resident Abdul Rehman, S.B. Krishna alias Ayesha, Ritbanik alias Mohd. Ibrahim, and other accused.
The girl was brainwashed
Investigation has revealed that a person from the Muslim community contacted Reena on Facebook. She was brainwashed by telling her about Islam. He got her in touch with Abdul Rehman who was caught from Delhi. He told her that she will have to become the third or fourth wife of any one of the three or four Muslims. Then we will invest in her.
Some time ago, when Reena’s mobile got damaged, Abbu Talib got her a new mobile for which Ayesha had paid the money. Abbu Talib used to recharge the mobile. He also used to give clothes and money to Reena through parcels.
Pressure was created to marry
Some time ago, Abdur Rehman (Dehradun) told Reena that now we will help you only if you convert to Islam and marry me whereas Abdur Rehman has already done three Nikahs. All of them together wanted to get Reena married to Abur Rehman. For this, by luring her with money, Abbu Talib, Abdur Rehman (Dehradun), Abdul Rehman (Delhi) and Ayesha pressurized Reena to recite Kalma through WhatsApp and changed her name to Muslim name “Maryam”.
After this, to take Maryam out of Dehradun and take her to the safe house, a car was arranged from a local Muslim driver and Reena was told that as soon as you leave the house, before sitting in the car, break your mobile and SIM and throw it away.
