In his statement to news agency PTI, a PCB source told the reason behind the cancellation of the captains’ photoshoot program that we were forced to take this decision in view of the busy schedule of some teams. Before the start of the tournament, some teams are busy playing other series, in which the England team is playing ODI series in India, while the Australian team is on a tour of Sri Lanka. In such a situation, the captains of their teams will not be available for the opening ceremony in Pakistan.
England and Australia teams will reach Pakistan on this day
The matches of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be played at four venues, in which the Indian team will play its matches in Dubai, while matches will be played in three stadiums in Pakistan. While the England team will reach Pakistan on February 18, the Australian team will reach Pakistan on February 19 after finishing the Sri Lanka tour. If the Indian team secures its place in the final of the tournament, then this title match will be played in Dubai and if this does not happen then the final match of the Champions Trophy 2025 will be held in Lahore.
