In the Baba Siddiqui case, the shooters went to Baba Siddiqui’s house and office 5 times in 28 days to do recce. They would stay for hours around Baba Siddiqui’s house and office and track his every movement. After the recce, Dussehra was chosen for the murder. Zeeshan Akhtar, the accused involved in the murder, was out of Mumbai at the time of the incident. Zeeshan was coordinating the entire operation from outside Mumbai. Shubham’s brother Praveen had come to drop the shooters from Pune to Mumbai. Shubham had given money to the shooters.
