Dehradun: A big statement of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami ( Dhami) has come to the fore regarding Agniveers. He said that the Agniveers of the state who return after serving the country will be accommodated in various departments of the state and provision of reservation will also be made in this regard. The Chief Minister further said that after bringing the Agniveer scheme, he held a meeting with army officers, former officers, soldiers and others.
‘The state government will accommodate Agniveers in various departments of the state including police’
CM Dhami said that on June 15, 2022, he had announced on ‘X’ that his government would accommodate Agniveers in various departments of the state including police and give them priority. He said that provision of reservation will also be made for Agniveers. Dhami said that if needed, a proposal to make a law to accommodate Agniveers will also be brought in the cabinet and placed in the assembly.
‘The state government will leave no stone unturned’
The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand is a state where youth join the Indian Army on a large scale, so, the state government will leave no stone unturned in employing Agniveers after completing four years of service in the army.
He said, “The government wants that even after completing four years in the army, Agniveers should get ample opportunities for jobs and employment in the state. Retired Agniveers will be fully utilized in the service of the state so that they can also participate in the development of the state.” Earlier he had said that provision for reservation would also be made for Agniveers. Dhami said that if it is necessary to make an Act for this, then a proposal for it will be brought in the cabinet and placed in the assembly as well.
