Gorakhpur: A strange incident came to light in Bansgaon area of Gorakhpur (Gorakhpur) district of UP. Here, the woman whose body was cremated thinking she was dead, was found alive in Jhansi. The police reunited the woman with her husband on Saturday evening.
The police said that Ram Sumer, a resident of Bansgaon, had recently informed the police that his wife Phoolmati (40) had gone missing on June 15. He told that on June 19, the body of a woman was found in Uruwa market, which Sumer identified as his wife and also cremated her.
What was revealed in the post-mortem?
The police said that the post-mortem investigation revealed that the woman was strangled to death, so the police started the investigation. Police said that during the investigation, when the police traced Phoolmati’s mobile phone, it was found active in Jhansi district, 600 km away from Gorakhpur, and in the call detail record (CDR), continuous conversation was found with the number of a person named Shubham of Sultanpur.
He said that on interrogation, Shubham told the police that Phoolmati is alive and he has brought her from Gorakhpur to Jhansi. After which the police found Phoolmati at the place told by Shubham.
Additional Superintendent of Police (South) Jitendra Kumar Tomar said that after recording Phoolmati’s statement, she has been sent back with her husband. He said that it is being investigated what was the relationship between Ram Sumer, Phoolmati, Shubham and the woman, whose last rites were performed thinking her to be Phoolmati.
