Students complained of stomach ache(Students)

Tripura: A case of several students (Students) falling ill at once has come to light in a hostel in Tripura. In fact, at least 30 students fell ill after eating food on Thursday at a hostel run by a non-governmental organization (NGO) in West Tripura district. West Tripura District Magistrate Vishal Kumar informed that the state government ordered an inquiry into the incident of students of Bodhjang Higher Secondary School and Maharani Tulsibati School falling ill after eating contaminated food.

Complained of stomach ache

The students of both the government schools lived in the NGO-run hostel in Indiranagar area and had food before going to their respective institutions. The West Tripura District Magistrate said that first two girls complained of stomach ache and soon other students also complained of the same. The students were taken to GBP Hospital. He said that food samples have been collected from the hostel for testing.

CM met the students

He said that if anything adverse is found in the food served to the students by the hostel authorities, we will take appropriate action. The condition of the students is said to be stable. Chief Minister Manik Saha said that it appears to be a case of food poisoning. Saha met the students in the hospital. The Chief Minister said that the condition of the students is stable. The government has ordered an inquiry into the incident to take necessary steps.
