The water inside cools down(cools)

Through social media, we can see informative videos from all parts of the world. A video of an Indian village is going viral on Instagram, which shows an easy and effective way to cool  (cools) water without any refrigerator or electricity. The viral video, which has been viewed more than a million times on Instagram, is posted by popular video creator Divya Sinha, who is loved by her followers for her simplicity, impressive camera presence and her content.

Sinha shared the video on her Instagram handle and told that today she will reveal some easy and fun desi jugaad or hacks from the village. She further said that while most people in cities use refrigerators to cool their water, in her village they have converted a simple plastic bottle into a “fridge” or a self-cooling water bottle. She then turns the camera around and shows a plastic bottle hanging from a tree covered with a wet cloth. She further says that the water in this bottle will cool down automatically within 10 to 15 minutes. She explains that when the bottle is wrapped in a wet cloth and exposed to air, it cools the water inside.

This happens when the water in the cloth evaporates and draws any heat from inside the bottled water. “Village people are intelligent like that,” says the video maker. She credited her younger brother for this smart hack. Viewers were quite impressed with this water-cooling hack and are giving their reactions in the comments section.

One user wrote, “Well done didi… how great you are at happily finding a solution to any problem, that’s why people in villages are amazing.” Another wrote, “Wow, how organic.”

Sharing his experience, an Instagram user wrote, ‘Didi when I used to live in Delhi and did not have a refrigerator, I too used to enjoy cold water with this hack.’ An impressed viewer wrote, “I don’t live in a village but I really appreciate the village atmosphere and heartwarming people.”
