New Delhi: In Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar changed sides and left the Grand Alliance and joined NDA with BJP. Now on February 12, he has to get majority in the assembly. Meanwhile, MLAs of other parties are in Patna, but Congress ( Congress) went to Telangana with its MLAs. He is going to reach Patna a day before the confidence motion. After all, there is no big political game behind the fear of MLAs breaking up.
BJP has formed a screening committee to include leaders of other parties in its party. After this the tension of opposition parties has increased. There is an atmosphere of political chaos in Bihar, in such a situation there is a high risk of MLAs changing sides. Keeping this in view, Congress is trying hard to save its MLAs.
Nitish government has no numerical crisis in Bihar. She can easily prove majority in the assembly. But Lok Sabha elections are near. Even in such a situation, party-change among leaders becomes more frequent. Integrating other parties into your party also helps in creating awareness among the public about that party. In such a situation, the party proudly shows public confidence in its favor and claims a big victory in the elections.
BJP is the largest party in Bihar NDA, but the second party JDU has the post of Chief Minister. BJP has 74 MLAs while JDU has only 43 MLAs. In such a situation, JDU is also under pressure due to such a huge difference in the number of MLAs. In view of this, JDU is putting pressure on Congress MLAs, so that the indirect pressure of BJP can be reduced.
Congress is busy saving MLAs in Bihar. She has reached Telangana with her 14 MLAs. Bihar Congress is saying that he has gone to congratulate Revanth Reddy. Whereas Telangana Congress is saying that there was a fear of disintegration. There is police guard at the entry and exit gates of the resort in Telangana. Nitish Kumar’s confidence motion is on 12th February, hence Congress MLAs will reach Patna on 11th February.
Congress is being haunted by the threat of disbandment of MLAs in Bihar
First a group of Congress MLAs from Jharkhand reached Hyderabad and now from Bihar. The idea of keeping MLAs safe in a resort in a Congress-ruled state raises the question whether the Congress is in danger of losing its MLAs in Bihar and Jharkhand. Congress is saying that BJP can do this but we have no fear. When there is no fear, then why did the need to transport MLAs from Patna to Hyderabad overnight arise?
19 Congress MLAs in Bihar
There are a total of 19 Congress MLAs in Bihar, out of which three MLAs did not go to Hyderabad due to different reasons. Vikram MLA Siddharth cited the busyness of his constituency, while legislature party leader Shakeel Ahmed Khan has a wedding at his house, hence he did not go. Whereas Araria MLA Abidur Rahman did not go due to illness.
Arrangements have been made for the MLAs to stay in a luxurious resort in the neighboring RR district of Hyderabad. There is a police guard at the entry and exit gates of the resort where they have been kept, so that no one else can come in or out.
Bihar Congress President may be saying that our MLAs have gone to Telangana for a courtesy meeting, but Congress leader Renuka Chaudhary, who comes from Telangana, is saying that if BJP breaks our MLAs, then we are saving them. He said that after securing the security of our MLAs, their horse-trading politics has received a setback. We are not getting the government to spend. We are spending our own money.
In fact, Congress had suffered the pain of loss of MLAs in Madhya Pradesh. Even though Congress was badly defeated in Madhya Pradesh in the last assembly elections, it formed the government in 2018. BJP, through Jyotiraditya Scindia, had brought down Kamal Nath’s government by breaking the Congress MLAs. Considering those experiences, Congress wants to save its MLAs, so that when Nitish Kumar proves his majority in the Bihar Assembly on February 12, the Congress MLAs do not change sides. But BJP is saying that breaking the party is not in its nature.
Congress’s mentality is of dynastic politics- Vijay Sinha
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha said that this only reflects the mentality of the Congress party. The mentality of Congress is of dynastic politics. They should trust their MLAs. They are treating their MLAs like labourers. This is not the character of BJP.
