Lucknow. International Day of Older Persons is on 1 October. On this occasion, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has been kind to the elderly. It has been told that the Yogi government will send the second installment of pension to the accounts of the elderly on International Older Persons Day. The special thing is that the Yogi government has increased the old age pension by Rs 100 per month. More than 55 lakh old people of the state will get the benefit of this increase.
Social Welfare Department sources said that there are more than 55 lakh 77 thousand old people in the state, in whose account the amount of pension will be sent. 3 months pension will be given to each elderly person. In this way, tomorrow i.e. on 1st October, 1500-1500 rupees will be deposited in the account of old people. With the increase of Rs 100 in old age pension by the Yogi government, the pension of Rs 400 per month to poor elderly people has increased to Rs 500 per month.
This pension amount for three months will be transferred from Kalyan Bhawan in Lucknow at 11 am on October 1. Social Welfare Minister Ramapati Shastri and Minister of State Sanjeev Kumar will do this work online through video conferencing.
