Chandrayaan-4: After the success of Chandrayaan-3, ISRO’s morale is very high. This is the first time in the history of space missions that any country has landed its spacecraft on the south pole of the Moon. After Chandrayaan-3, Indian Space Agency ISRO has started preparing for its Moon mission Chandrayaan-4. (Chandrayaan-4) For this, it has also partnered with Japan’s space agency JAXA. It is known that this fourth Moon mission is completely different from the previous ones.
Chandrayaan-3 was not designed in such a way that it could return to Earth, but whatever the case, Chandrayaan-3’s rover and Vikram lander provided important information and data to ISRO for 14 days. Apart from this, Chandrayaan-4 will go to the Moon, land and return to Earth after taking samples from there.
Just a few days ago, Space Application Center Director Nilesh Desai, while addressing the Indian Tropical Metrology Institute, had given information about Chandrayaan-4, ISRO’s fourth mission to the Moon. He had said, ‘The spacecraft will travel to the Moon, land, collect samples and then connect to another module in space. When both come near the Earth, they will separate again and create a strong velocity. One part will come to Earth, while the other module will continue to orbit the Earth.
The director of SAC said that its preparations will be completed in the next 5 to 7 years. This is an ambitious mission. Chandrayaan-4 will be much more difficult than all the previous missions. While the weight of the rover of Chandrayaan-3 was 30 kg, but in Chandrayaan-4 its weight will increase to 350 kg. The size of the rover will increase to 1000mX1000m compared to 500mX500m in the previous mission.
