Azamgarh. In Azamgarh district, a Natwarlal, posing as SDM, on the day of Dhanteras, bought 14 thousand from a sweet shopkeeper and handed over a check as payment. When the shopkeeper reached the bank on Wednesday, his senses were blown away. That check was fake. When the shopkeeper came to know about this, he is upset and roaming around with the check. This is the second such case. Earlier, Natwarlal has cheated himself by calling himself SDM in Rani Ki Sarai police station area.
Actually, money was raining in the market on Dhanteras in Jianpur town of Jianpur Kotwali area. The shopkeepers were sitting decorating their shops. A gleaming Scorpio vehicle parked at Shyam Sweet House in the town itself. A person got down from it and introduced the shopkeeper as Amit Rai, SDM of Azamgarh Sadar. After being informed about being the SDM, the shopkeeper also took care of the sahib according to his own accord.
During this, the alleged SDM bought a total of 14 thousand sweets from the sweet shop. When the turn of payment came, the alleged SDM cut a check of Rs 14 thousand citing non-availability of cash. After the check was paid, he left the shop. When the shop owner Shyamraj went to deposit the check in the bank, he came to know that it is a fake cheque.
