We are talking about 1997 batch IPS officer Amit Sinha, who recently won the Gold Medal in Power Lifting Championship 2023. Now, doing another feat, he has qualified in the international level weight lifting championship.

Amit Sinha comes from Bihar. He did his schooling from St. Xavier’s School, Patna. After this, he has graduated in civil engineering from IIT Roorkee.

In a media interview, he has told that he had no interest in power lifting earlier, but started it after seeing a close friend in IIT Roorkee. Soon he became very proficient in it.

According to media reports, he had won many medals while in IIT and also broke the records of many universities. He has still kept his passion alive and is setting new records at the age of 51.

Please tell that at present he is posted as ADG in Uttarakhand. Along with the job, he also continues to practice for power lifting. His dedication is an example for the younger generation.
