Center’s ordinance on transfer-posting rights in Delhi(Delhi)

New Delhi. After the decision of the Supreme Court to give the right of transfer posting in Delhi (Delhi) to the Kejriwal government, the central government has issued an ordinance. In Delhi, a permanent committee was formed to decide matters like transfer posting, vigilance. According to the ordinance, National Capital Civil Service Authority will be formed for transfer-posting of officers in Delhi. Will send this recommendation to the Lieutenant Governor.

This committee will include Delhi CM, Chief Secretary of Delhi and Home Secretary of Delhi. The Chief Minister will be the chairman of the committee, the decision to send the recommendation to the Lieutenant Governor will be by majority. In case of difference of opinion, the decision of the Lieutenant Governor will be final.

Delhi minister Atishi Marlena said that the ordinance brought by the central government is contempt of the constitutional bench of the Supreme Court. The Modi government has brought this ordinance fearing to give power to the Kejriwal government. Arvind Kejriwal must have been elected by the people of Delhi, given more than 90% seats. But Delhi will not be run by Kejriwal, the center itself will run the Delhi government. BJP Delhi President Virendra Sachdeva said that he welcomes this decision. Every incident in Delhi affects the whole world. That’s why it was necessary that the administrative system of Delhi should be ensured and safe through the central government.
The Supreme Court had called the Delhi government itself the boss
Earlier, on May 11, the Supreme Court, while giving a unanimous verdict, had said that the Delhi government has legislative and executive powers with respect to the services. The Supreme Court has ruled in favor of the Delhi government on the dispute regarding the right of transfer-posting of officers in Delhi. The Supreme Court said that the posting and transfer of officers will be with the Delhi government.
