New Delhi: A shocking news is coming from the country’s capital Delhi. An official informed on Thursday that Delhi Police has detained 5 minor (5 minor) boys in connection with the alleged robbery at gunpoint at a clothes shop on the outskirts of North Delhi. According to the police, the accused had planned the robbery while playing cricket so that they could earn money by selling the stolen items. These ‘robbers’ aged between 16 and 17 years fled from the spot on foot after committing the crime.
‘Executed the robbery by brandishing a pistol’
The police said that in this incident which took place on December 21, a group of boys had snatched clothes and cash from the shop owner Deepak. According to the complainant, 3 to 4 boys initially came to his shop on the pretext of buying clothes but later they returned with their companions. He told that some of the boys’ companions brandished pistols and looted 15 jackets and pants from him. Police said that these robbers fled from the spot on foot after the robbery. According to the police, after receiving the complaint in the case, an FIR was registered and investigation was started.
‘Raid and boys were taken into custody’
Police said that despite the suspects wearing masks, more than 40 CCTV cameras were checked. According to the police, based on the information, the police team reached a rented house in Pinky Chaudhary Colony in Burari, and conducted a raid and recovered 13 jackets and 3 pairs of pants and took 5 minors into custody. A senior police officer said, ‘Initial investigation has revealed that all the accused are school dropouts and have no prior criminal record.’ Police said that efforts are being made to catch the remaining suspects involved in the case.
