Gift to railway employees!(Gift) 

New Delhi: The central government has given a big gift (Gift)  to the railway employees. The Center has announced to give 78 days bonus to the employees in the upcoming festivals. According to the information, about 12 lakh employees will benefit from this decision of the government. The bonus will be paid before the Dussehra and Diwali holidays.

This amount will be paid to various categories of railway employees like Track Maintainer, Loco Pilot, Train Manager (Guard), Station Master, Supervisor, Technician, Technician Helper, Pointsman, Ministerial Staff and other Group XC Staff. The payment of PLB serves as an incentive to motivate railway employees to work towards improving the performance of the railways.

PLB is paid to eligible railway employees every year before Durga Puja / Dussehra holidays. This year also, about 11.72 lakh non-gazetted railway employees are being paid PLB amount equivalent to 78 days’ salary. The maximum amount payable per eligible railway employee is Rs 17,951/- for 78 days.

The above amount will be paid to various categories of railway employees like Track Maintainer, Loco Pilot, Train Manager (Guard), Station Master, Supervisor, Technician, Technician Helper, Pointsman, Ministerial Staff and other Group ‘C Staff. The performance of the Railways was very good in the year 2023-2024. Railways loaded a record freight of 1588 million tonnes and carried about 6.7 billion passengers.
