Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed the Emir of Qatar ( Emir of Qatar) Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at Delhi’s Palam Technical Airport. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has come on a state visit to India from 17-18 February. During this visit, the Emir of Qatar is scheduled to meet External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Draupadi Murmu.
On the arrival of the Emir of Qatar in India, Prime Minister Modi welcomed him with a warm hug at the airport. PM Modi wrote on ‘X’, “Went to the airport to welcome my brother, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar. Wishing him a successful stay in India and looking forward to our meeting tomorrow.”
Al Thani has come to India for the second time
Let us tell you that Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has come to India for the second time. Earlier he came to India in 2015. Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, who is on a visit to India, will meet President Draupadi Murmu on Tuesday and hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Ministry of External Affairs had said in a statement on Saturday that his visit will give further impetus to our growing partnership in various fields. According to the statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will meet Al-Thani. On Tuesday morning, the Emir of Qatar will be formally welcomed in the courtyard of Rashtrapati Bhavan, after which he will have a meeting with Prime Minister Modi at ‘Hyderabad House’. Various aspects of bilateral relations will be discussed in this meeting.
In the afternoon, there will be an exchange of MoUs, after which the Emir of Qatar will meet President Murmu. Al-Thani has come to India on the invitation of Prime Minister Modi. In recent years, relations between India and Qatar have steadily strengthened in various sectors, including trade, investment, energy, technology and culture.
