Gujarat’s first win(Gujarat’) 

IPL: The 9th match of IPL 2025 was played between Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians. Gujarat won this match by 36 runs. Batting first, Gujarat Titans scored 196 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Mumbai’s team could only score 160 runs for the loss of 6 wickets after batting for 20 overs. Sai Sudarshan scored a brilliant half-century for Gujarat. This is Gujarat’s (Gujarat’)  first win this season. At the same time, this is the second consecutive defeat for Mumbai Indians.
Sai Sudarshan played a brilliant innings
Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan gave Gujarat a great start after batting first. Both added 78 runs for the first wicket. Gill was dismissed after scoring 38 runs off 27 balls and missed out on scoring a half-century. After Gill was out, Jos Buttler shared a 51-run partnership with Sudarshan, but he returned to the pavilion after scoring 39 runs. After this, Sudarshan hit his eighth half-century of IPL career and was out after scoring 63 runs. As soon as Sudarshan was out, Gujarat’s run rate was curbed and the team could not even cross the 200 mark. For Gujarat, Sherfane Rutherford scored 18 runs, Shahrukh Khan scored 9 runs, Rashid Khan scored 6 and R Sai Kishore scored one run, while Kagiso Rabada returned unbeaten after scoring seven runs.

Surya could not make the team win

Mumbai Indians, who came to chase the target, did not have a good start. The team got the first blow in the very first over when captain Rohit Sharma was bowled on the third ball after hitting two fours in two consecutive balls. He was dismissed by Siraj. After his dismissal, Tilak Verma came at number 3. He, along with Rickelton, took the team’s score to 35. Rickelton was out after scoring 6 runs. After this, Tilak Verma along with Suryakumar Yadav tried to handle the innings. There was a partnership of 62 runs between the two. When it seemed that Mumbai Indians were strengthening their hold in this match, then Prasidh Krishna got Tilak Verma out and brought Gujarat back in the match. After this, Suryakumar Yadav batted by handling one end, but he could not make the team win. Surya scored 48 runs in 28 balls in this match. After him, captain Hardik Pandya scored 11 runs. At the same time, Naman Dheer and Mitchell Santner played innings of 18-18 runs.
