Donald Trump’s shocking statement(Donald Trump )

Washington: Amidst the initiative to end the Russia-Ukraine war, US President Donald Trump  (Donald Trump )  has surprised everyone with another statement. According to a Reuters report, Donald Trump said that I would like to bring Russia back to the G7. He said that it was a mistake to exclude Russia from the G-7.” During this, Donald Trump said about Putin, “When I spoke to him yesterday… I believe President Putin wants peace. If it was not so, he would have told me. I think he would like to see peace…”

The US President has thus expressed his desire to reinclude Russia in the G7. Speaking to reporters, Trump said he would like to see Russia back in the G7. While this is not the first time Trump has expressed this opinion, earlier in 2019 he had said that the exclusion of Russia was a mistake made by world leaders in 2014 during the tenure of former US President Barack Obama.

The old name of G7 was G8

Trump’s comments come as a reiteration of his previous stance on the matter, emphasizing his interest in recreating the G8 in its original form. Let us tell you that the G7 was formerly known as the G8. But Russia was expelled in 2014 with international condemnation after the occupation of Crimea. Since then it is a group of the seven largest economies in the world. Trump’s comments amid the ongoing Ukraine-Russia conflict have fueled interest in the possibility of Russia’s reinstatement.
