Washington: Before the meeting with Prime Minister Modi, US President Donald Trump (Donald Trump) has taken a big decision regarding tariff. India has also come under the grip of this decision of Trump. In a way, this is a big trailer for India. Let us tell you that President Donald Trump signed an order on Thursday to impose comprehensive reciprocal tariff on imports from trading partners. Under this, America will impose the same duty on goods imported from any country, which these countries impose on goods imported from America.
Trump has said that for the purpose of fairness on trade, I have decided that I will impose reciprocal tariff. Meaning, whichever country imposes tariff on the United States, we will charge tariff from them – neither more nor less. According to a Reuters report, US President Donald Trump gave a warning message to all countries, saying, “They charge us taxes and tariffs, it’s very simple we will charge them exact taxes and tariffs.” US President Donald Trump, while talking about his intentions to impose reciprocal tariffs, said, “India has more tariffs than almost any other country.” By saying this, Trump has in a way indicated to India that if it does not reduce tariffs on America, then Trump will also impose tariffs accordingly. Trump narrated an incident related to India’s heavy tariffs Trump said, “…Traditionally India is at the top of the pack. There are some small countries that are really high, but India charges tremendous tariffs. I remember when Harley Davidson could not sell its motorbikes in India, because in India – the tax was so high, the tariff was so high, Harley was forced to manufacture more… but I think they built a factory in India to avoid paying tariffs. This is what people can do to us. They can build a factory, a plant or whatever it may be here and this includes medicine, cars, chips and semiconductors.”
Trump said- this should have been done earlier
Trump said that the work I am going to do should have been done earlier. Like China did it a few years ago. After this there will be tremendous jobs and prices will also remain stable. Trump says that whoever imposes more tariff on our country, we will also impose the same tariff.
