Haridwar. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated as the chief guest in the youth worker conference and the closing ceremony of the golden seventy years of the union organized by the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh Uttarakhand at the Rishikul Ayurvedic College Auditorium on Sunday.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that a big center should be built in such a big institute of Rishikul. He said that a center should be built in the field of tourism, spirituality, education, Ayurveda astrology meditation. For this, it was announced that Madan Mohan Malaviya State Research Institute will be established in this Rishikul, in which many disciplines like yoga, meditation and spirituality will be studied. This will also help in increasing spiritual tourism.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that today the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh is organized in an expanded form, the organization had to face many difficulties in the initial phase. On 23 July 2025, this organization is completing 70 years of its establishment. He said that in the journey of seven decades, with the resolve of penance and nation building and with the Swadeshi ideology, the organization has made a valuable contribution in nation building with Indian culture and keeping in mind the interests of the workers. He said that the organization paved the way from Shram Yogi to Rashtra Yogi. After the independence of the country, there was a shortage of resources in the country but the work done by our workers in nation building is unbelievable. Today there is no shortage of resources in the country.
He said that 7 decades ago, the indigenous ideology was zero due to the influence of foreign ideology on the movements run by the workers in the country. At that time, a difficult situation used to arise on proclaiming Vande Mataram and Bharat Mata Ki Jai in the movements. The organization is working for the interests of the workers by becoming a huge tree. The organization has given a new ideology to the workers, students, and youth of the country. Today our government is working under many schemes keeping in mind the interests of the workers, the last person of the country is getting the benefit of these schemes. Crores of workers have been registered on the labor portal run by the government. Our government is providing the facility of ESI, EFO, insurance for the interests of the workers. He said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the welfare of the workers is being done with the basic mantra of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas. Many schemes have been implemented for the benefit of the labourers. Their children are being provided good education, health and mobile facilities. 75 of their meritorious children are being provided higher technical education at Rudrapur Technical Institute. Education, accommodation and food are being provided to them completely free of cost so that they can build their future without any financial hindrance.
He said that workers are not only seekers of labour but are also the path-makers of nation building. He said that the youth will have a special role in the resolution of a developed India in 2047.
He said that India is the youngest country in the world, 65 percent of whose population is below the age of 35 years. He said that if this energy is channelized in the right direction, if we get the right guidance, then our country can soon emerge as a superpower. He said that the Prime Minister created a department for Skill India for the first time. This campaign is playing an important role in the Self-reliant India campaign along with connecting the youth with employment. He said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, many works are being done towards the revival of our cultural heritage.
He said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, we are moving ahead in the direction of becoming a developed and self-reliant nation with the resolve of a strong and prosperous nation. For the first time after independence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has implemented the mantra of ‘Shramev Jayate’ and many works are being done on a large scale for the welfare of workers. He said that many such schemes are being brought, due to which our labour brothers working at the last end of the society, their upliftment, welfare, their progress in every way, they also get connected to the mainstream of development. He said that with the aim of simplifying the 29 old and complex labour laws of the country, they have been incorporated in four comprehensive labour codes. Through the e-Shram portal, crores of workers of the unorganized sector have been registered and linked to the formal economy. Through which the protection of the rights of crores of workers has been ensured. Under the Shramyogi Maandhan Yojana, a pension of one thousand rupees is also being arranged for the workers of the unorganized sector.
He said that under the guidance of the Prime Minister, the state government is also working committedly for the welfare of workers by assimilating the basic mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas. Schemes like Housing Scheme, Social Security Card, Health Insurance are being run for workers. The government is ensuring that the workers do not have to remain neglected at any level, do not have to face any trouble. He said that many schemes have been implemented for workers through Uttarakhand Bhawan and other construction workers welfare board.
The Chief Minister said that in the year 2015, the Skill Development Department was established under the guidance of the Honorable Prime Minister. Many works are being done in the field of cultural heritage, including the construction of a grand temple at the birthplace of Lord Ramchandra, the construction work of the corridor of Baba Vishwanath, the master plan work of Badrinath Dham and the reconstruction work of Shri Kedarnath after the terrible disaster that occurred in Shri Kedarnath in the year 2013, and in the speed with which our workers completed these construction works, our contribution has been significant.
Today, there has been an unimaginable increase in the number of pilgrims and tourists coming from the country and abroad for the Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra. So far, in this year’s Chardham Yatra, more than 12 lakh pilgrims have reached Kedarnath Dham in one month and 21 days, while the figure for the four Dhams has crossed more than 33 lakh. He said that all our places are progressing rapidly.
The Chief Minister said that today whenever any terrorist incident takes place in the world, the world’s eyes are on India. What will be India’s stand? Today, countries with the same ideology are affected by war among themselves. During Operation Sindoor, the entire world saw the bravery of our army. We are not a country that only talks on the table. We directly entered the enemy’s home and destroyed the enemy hideouts. The result of which was that Pakistan surrendered in just four days. Our missiles selectively destroyed the enemy’s terrorist hideouts.
He said that our government is working strongly against land jihad, love jihad, spit jihad in the state. Earlier, people used to grab land by spreading yellow, blue or green sheets or by other means. So far, our government has freed 6500 acres of illegal land from such land mafias and illegal constructions have been removed. Whenever we go to other countries of the world and meet them, they ask us where we have come from. When we introduce ourselves and say that we have come from the Indian state of Uttarakhand, the expressions on their faces change and they say that you have come from the holy land of Uttarakhand, at that time we feel proud.
No one can tamper with the basic existence of Devbhoomi. Keeping in mind the riots in Van Bhoolpura of Haldwani, our government brought in strong riot law in the state. Along with this, earlier the talented students and youth of the state were not getting selected despite preparing for four to five years. After bringing the anti-cheating law, now the talented students and youth of the state are getting selected in three to four competitive examinations. Now the basis of selection is talent, not cheating.
Our government is working under zero tolerance, any officer or employee who is negligent in his post, duties and work in the interest of public welfare will not be spared, now along with small and big fishes, even big crocodiles will not be spared. He said that from 2022 till now our government has punished more than 200 people who showed negligence in their duties.
The Sankalp Yatra of our government is a resolution of a collective journey. The flag of the Sankalp Yatra of all the people of the state has been handed over to me. Today, our state is leading in many matters. Uttarakhand is a different example in the whole country in terms of many decisions.
Our government had announced in the 2022 general elections that for the empowerment of women, people of any class, religion or sect living in the country will bring the Uniform Civil Code law in the entire state on 27 January 2025, Uttarakhand became the first state of India in this matter. There is no alternative in this resolution of ours.
