Bengaluru. A shameful incident has come to light from Karnataka’s capital and IT hub Bengaluru. A senior associate of the prestigious IT company Infosys has been caught red-handed while making a video of his female colleague by hiding in the toilet. The accused has been identified as Nagesh Swapnil Mali, who has been arrested by the police.
The incident took place on Monday, when a female employee was using the office washroom. According to the FIR, the woman sensed some suspicious activity from the adjacent toilet. When she looked up, she was shocked. The accused Nagesh was recording her video on his mobile phone.
Seeing this, the woman immediately started shouting. Hearing her voice, other employees present nearby gathered at the spot and caught the accused Nagesh. When the employees checked his mobile phone, they found a video of the woman in it, which was later deleted by the HR department of the company in the presence of the woman employee. After this, the accused was handed over to the police. The police are taking this matter very seriously. Police officials believe that this cannot be the first incident. It is being thoroughly investigated whether Nagesh has done such a disgusting act with other female employees earlier.
A senior police officer said, we have seized the mobile phone of the accused and sent it for forensic examination. We are trying to retrieve the deleted data to find out if he has made such videos earlier as well. This incident has once again raised serious questions about the safety of working women in the corporate world of Bangalore.
