Delhi: Last week on 12 June, Air India flight AI171 from Ahmedabad to London crashed. A total of 297 people died in this accident. In this accident, out of the total 242 people on board the flight, only one British passenger survived, while all the other 241 people were killed. Tata Group’s Air India has cancelled a total of 83 flights since that accident. DGCA said on Tuesday that the airline company has cancelled a total of 83 flights from 12 June to 17 June, ( 12 June to 17 June) out of which 66 flights were of Boeing 787 aircraft only. Let us tell you that Boeing’s 787-8 aircraft met with an accident last week on Thursday, June 12.
6 international flights cancelled on Tuesday
Air India cancelled 6 international flights on Tuesday due to different reasons. These reasons also include the strict investigation going on regarding Boeing’s Dreamliner plane. The international flights which Air India has cancelled today include London-Amritsar and Delhi-Dubai flights. According to the airline company, other flights cancelled by Air India include Bengaluru-London, Delhi-Vienna, Delhi-Paris and Mumbai-San Francisco flights.
Flight from Ahmedabad to London also cancelled
Let us tell you that earlier, Air India had cancelled the flight from Ahmedabad to London’s Gatwick Airport citing lack of planes during the day. Let us tell you that the Air India flight that met with an accident last week took off from Ahmedabad to London’s Gatwick Airport and crashed a few minutes later. The airline company said that it is part of the investigation of all Air India flights across India by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Tata Group company is facing bad times
Air India is facing the biggest crisis after the Tata Group bought the airline company. Passengers had to disembark midway due to technical problems in the San Francisco-Mumbai flight. Apart from this, the company canceled the Delhi-Paris flight after some problems were found during the pre-flight check. On the other hand, an Air India flight from San Francisco to Mumbai via Kolkata suffered a technical fault in the early hours of Tuesday, due to which the passengers had to disembark during the scheduled stop at Kolkata International Airport.
