Naxalites influenced by Niyyad Nellnar scheme
Sukma SP Kiran Chavan has said that the surrendered Naxalites are disappointed with the hollow and inhuman Maoist ideology and atrocities on tribals. These Naxalites have also been influenced by the Chhattisgarh government’s ‘Niyad Nellnar’ (Your Good Village) scheme. Under this scheme, development work is being facilitated in remote villages. Apart from this, the government has started ‘Ilwad Panchayat Yojana’ under the new Chhattisgarh Naxal Surrender/Victim Relief and Rehabilitation Policy-2025. Under this, development projects worth Rs 1 crore are approved in those panchayats where Naxalites surrender. These villages have to pass a proposal to declare themselves free from Maoists. At the same time, the Naxalites who have surrendered have been given a help of Rs 50 thousand by the government and they will also be rehabilitated.

Home Minister Amit Shah appeals to Naxalites
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has made a big appeal to the Naxalites. He wrote on X- “In various operations in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, Cobra Commandos and Chhattisgarh Police have arrested 22 notorious Naxalites along with modern weapons and explosive materials. Also, 11 Naxalites have surrendered in Badesetti Panchayat of Sukma, due to which this Panchayat has become completely Naxal-free. I appeal to the hidden Naxalites to adopt the surrender policy of the Modi government and lay down their arms as soon as possible and join the mainstream. We are determined to free the country from the scourge of Naxalism before 31 March 2026. Also, 22 other Naxalites also surrendered in Sukma (Chhattisgarh), taking the total number of surrenders to 33. I congratulate the security force personnel and Chhattisgarh Police for this success towards the Naxal-free India campaign.”
