Ranchi: Congress has released the list of its candidates for Jharkhand  assembly elections.       ( Jharkhand) Congress has currently released a list of 21 candidates. Congress has given tickets to Dr. Irfan Ansari from Jamtara, Mamta Devi from Ramgarh, Munna Singh from Hazaribagh, Ajay Nath Sahdev from Hatia. Rameshwar Oraon has been made the candidate from Lohardaga.

BJP has already released the list in Jharkhand

Elections will be held in two phases on 13 and 20 November on 81 assembly seats of Jharkhand. The election results will be declared on 23 November. Amidst the preparations for the elections, the main constituent party of the NDA alliance, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), had released the first list of 66 candidates. At the same time, there was a deadlock between the constituents of the ruling ‘India’ alliance regarding seat sharing. Meanwhile, the Congress had said on Monday night that the whole picture will be clear on Tuesday as to who will contest on how many seats.

The party’s Central Election Committee (CEC) had discussed the names of potential candidates for the Jharkhand assembly elections. The CEC meeting held at the party headquarters was attended by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, party parliamentary party chief Sonia Gandhi, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi, organization general secretary KC Venugopal, state in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir, state Congress Committee president Keshav Mahato and some other senior leaders associated with Jharkhand.

Congress’ Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting was held on Monday
The Congress Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting regarding Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly elections ended on Monday evening. News had come out that 63 seats of Maharashtra were discussed in the meeting. The first list of Congress candidates for Maharashtra may come on October 23.

Congress may get more than 110 seats in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). 63 names were discussed in the meeting, out of which 50 names were single. However, taking a lesson from Haryana, the party is also brainstorming on single names. 10 to 12 such seats were discussed in which there is more than one name.
