Israel and Hamas war: The war between Israel and Hamas has completed one year. Meanwhile, a report has made a big claim about Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar (Sinwar’s) . Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar is alive and has established secret contact with Qatar and Russia. Earlier, Israeli Military Intelligence had said that Yahya Sinwar had died in its attack.
What did Qatar say?
A senior Qatari diplomat told the Jerusalem Post that the reports of direct contact with Sinwar are false. The talks have taken place through Khalil al-Hayah, a senior Hamas leader. Sinwar’s death was being claimed in many media reports. The Israel Defense Force (IDF) also said that they had attacked a school in Gaza a few days ago, where Hamas had a command center. 22 people were killed in this attack. In such a situation, it is feared that Sinwar also died in this attack.
No proof of Sinwar’s death
According to Israeli media Haaretz, Israel has attacked those tunnels in Gaza in the recent past where Sinwar was suspected to be hiding. However, so far no clue related to Sinwar’s death has been found in the attacks. By the way, this is not the first time that Sinwar has suddenly disappeared, there have been reports of Sinwar’s sudden disappearance before this as well. Yahya Sinwar, the mastermind behind the attacks on Israel on October 7 last year, became the Hamas chief in August this year. Yahya Sinwar was made the top leader of Hamas after Ismail Haniyeh was killed in Iran.
Who is Yahya Sinwar
Yahya Sinwar was born in 1962 in the Khan Younis refugee camp in Egyptian-ruled Gaza. Sinwar completed his studies at the Islamic University of Gaza. Sinwar’s family was expelled from Al-Majdal Asqalan, now known as Ashkelon, during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. Sinwar is one of the co-founders of Hamas’ security apparatus. In September 2015, Sinwar was declared a terrorist by the United States government.
