Washington: US President Donald Trump  ( Trump)   made a significant revelation on Tuesday (local time), confirming that he used a different aircraft instead of Air Force One due to a “threat” while attending a recent summit in Turkey. He stated that he follows the advice given to him by the Secret Service and the military. Trump made this disclosure a day after reports emerged that the US President had opted for the older Air Force One instead of a Boeing 747-8 aircraft received from Qatar, and had then secretly transferred to a smaller C-32A aircraft.

Report Surfaces
It is worth noting that reports last month indicated Trump had to use the older Boeing aircraft instead of the jet received from Qatar due to threats and risks posed by Iran. However, the US President had switched planes once again; he was secretly moved from the older Air Force One—via a catering container—to the smaller C-32A aircraft.

Trump Reveals It Himself
While there was no official statement from the White House or Trump regarding the aircraft switch in previously published reports, the US President has now confirmed: “Yes, my plane was changed.” Speaking to reporters after returning from Ohio, the US President said, “I listen to the Secret Service and the military. They wanted me to take a different flight or a different plane… I do what they say… I think there was a threat. I didn’t ask much about it. I receive threats often.”

“Perhaps I am the most important president” – Trump’s Statement
Trump further added that he faces various threats of which the public is unaware. He said that any “important president faces many threats. Presidents who aren’t very important don’t get threats, and I think I am perhaps the most important president.”
