Patna. The education department of Bihar’s Nitish Kumar government has canceled the order related to cancellation of teachers’ holidays and reduction in holidays. In view of the huge protest regarding this, the Director of Secondary Education has issued an order (order) to cancel the reduction in holidays. In fact, there was a big cut in the school holidays from September to December. The teachers union in Bihar had expressed its protest regarding this. BJP also besieged the Nitish government.
There was a lot of protest against the order to cut holidays in the government schools of Bihar, due to which pressure was seen on the Bihar government. CM Nitish Kumar himself has taken the initiative and withdrawn the order to cut holidays. He ordered to cancel the order immediately. The order was already withdrawn in view of the protest march on the occasion of Teacher’s Day. BJP also accused Nitish government of appeasement. In this, 12 holidays were cut from September this year.
Holidays of these major festivals were canceled
The Bihar Education Department had issued the order on 29 August. In this, the holidays of festivals like Rakshabandhan, Janmashtami, Chhath, Deepawali, Durga Puja and Jitiya were cancelled. Along with the BJP, the teachers union also protested against this order of the education department.
Order issued on Monday
The Education Department had said that the holidays have been amended to ensure maximum education in schools. On Monday, the department issued a two-line order saying that the order related to holidays in primary, secondary and higher secondary schools on August 29 is cancelled.
